ART III- STUDIO ART
Grades 10-12
Prerequisite: Art I, II
Studio Art artists will explore their interests and decide on a theme that best describes not only their talents, but themselves. Through this theme the artist will independently compile at least 8 pieces of work in multiple mediums. Upon completion of their works, an artist statement is written. Taking what they have learned throughout their artistic education, as an artist they will be able to display their work through an Art Exhibition during our year end Night of the Arts. Artists will be in the lime light as they will be able to show the community their talents.
ART IV- DUAL CREDIT ART 110
Grades 11-12
Prerequisite: Art I, II
Dual Credit Art 110 is a college level class through Valley City State University. Students will receive high school and college credit at the same time! This is a General Education credit that is University transferable. The credits are offered at a reduced price of $210 for 3 credits, instead of $750 when taken in college. Art is a part of General Education requirements, so it’s a great opportunity to get the credits at a great price, and done in high school! Art 110 is a Studio Art class which gives students the opportunity to be an artist with art history integration. This course coincides with Art III. Students can begin with Art III the first semester and end with Art IV.
